a short list of programs that I use for art, asset creation, and messing with HTML :)

Clip Studio Paint is my main drawing application that I've been using for the last 3 years. I was very lucky to be graced with a 3 year liscense by my grandpa for christmas, and I am so so so glad that I've gotten the chance to use it. I'm even currently convincing my parents to get me a permanant liscense for it. If you have absolute any interest in doing digital art with a drawing tablet of any kind, I can 100% recommend CSP. I use the pro version, but you can honestly get more out of the EX version.
Brackets is the software that I've used to write this entire HTML site. I just find it very clean, efficient, and user friendly, and I like the organization aspects available. I still know for a fact that you could make a perfectly good website in the site HTML editor, or in notepad/notepad+ but for me, having this program that feels very clean and easy to navigate while I work has been super helpful for my workflow. Plus its entirely free, and I never get annoying adds or popups about upgrading my plan or anything like that. 10/10 :]
I know I mentioned EZgif on my resources page, but I wanted to mention it again even though this isn't really a program because I seriously use this damn site for EVERYTHING. I really love all of its features and the way its entirely free and very easy to use, I've been using it for years even just to resize gifs for pfp's or banners, and I still use it a bunch for all kinds of things. Fuckin love this site.
If I'm honest, I was never a mobile artist. Even when I first got my phone at the beginning of highschool, I still just preffered my sketchbooks because my fat fingers make it difficult to do art on my phone. so honestly, the only reason I have/use IBIS is for the filters they have available. some of them are fun and its enjoyable to mess around with them in various ways. some of the effects just ended up bringing my assets together and making them look more polished.
I wanted to mention Krita because it is hands down in my opinion the BEST free art software for PC. It has its limitations but non that I ever really noticed. From summer of 2020 to winter of 2022 I consistantly used Krita for every piece of art or digital asset or animation I made. It's definitly a good software for people who are new to digital art and dont want to spend money on a program that they arent sure they'll enjoy, and it felt very seamless to transition from Krita to CSP- THATS how good Krita is. A little Pixlr editing and a lot of Krita art can get you a long way.
